You might ask, "WHAT other than a paint job was done?" Here is a list of what was done.
Complete rebuild Package of Lockformer TDC Machine 14 station
**UNIT has 2 outboard TDC Profiles with idlers
- Machine shipped with 2 small parts feeders
** Machine arrived with T&B 1 stations removed, Idler removed- all shipped in 1 box
- Remove all upper heads
- Remove lower chassis
- Remove lower reduction unit-attached to motor
- Remove motor
- Clean and paint stand
- Stand and covers had a significant amount of debris- Multiple steam washers and parts washes
- Clean and paint ALL Covers
- Clean service and paint motor
- Motor had a significant amount of cooked on debristech cleaned and serviced entire motor and reduction
- Remove and replace ALL Bearings
- Remove and replace ALL Thrust washers
- Remove and replace ALL Shims-Re used shim plates and installed new 3/8" arbor shims throughout
- Remove and replace ALL Springs
- Techs replaced ALL spring complete throughout, all pillow blocks and idler assemblies
- Remove and replace all needle races and bearings in idlers
- Repair replace any damaged grease lines
- Set and tightened/removed extra links on D50 Chains and reset chain tensioners
- Techs replaced bearings in chain tensioners and packed with grease
- Repair replace any damaged electrical whips
- Polish all plates, rolls, shafts, gears, spacers etc and inspect
- Replace #2 springs in idlers Re assemble unit
- Tech found 3 bent shafts in machine
- Tech replaced 3- double ended shafts
- Tech shimmed ALL stations at spacers
- Machine arrived with oil lights attached to outboard profiles- this changes roll position and causes wear on inner spacers
- Tech calibrated all spacers and shimmed accordingly to fix position of all rolls
- Idler station 5-6 was missing fin roll and Pin on fixed side
- Idler at 5-6 on adjustable side had cracked fin pin
- Tech replaced all parts needed in idler assemblies
- Tech replaced Cam rollers on exit guide- Cam rollers had broken face- on adjustable side
- Techs installed new push button JOG pendant- current pendant was intermittent and force was needed to activate trigger
- Tech corrected slide on adjustable idler 5-6 and fixed position- slide would travel causing part jam up between gauges
- Techs set adjustable idler at station 5-6- idler gap was originally set too tight causing part jam on heavier gauges
- Test and set all functions and outboard profiles
- techs tested with gauges 26GA-18GA in various lengths for reliability and continued operation
- Techs preformed Heat test while running with thermal Gauge and camera
- Techs replaced all hardware fastening on covers- covers had numerous screws and bolts of different sizes
- Techs replaced ALL items with 7/16" hex head bolts for ease of cover removal when needed
- Techs replaced seal tight from motor to starter- current
